One of my favorite things about having Lincoln overnight is the special time we get together in the mornings. Friday morning Lincoln was content to play at Grammy's house but I remembered my promise on Thursday that we would go find some trains. We heard one on Thursday and looked but couldn't find it. Friday morning we ventured out and found lots of trains. The best part was the yellow engine that crossed the road in front of us with the train crossing lights flashing.
When we couldn't find any more trains, Lincoln suggested a playground. It was cold and incredibly windy but we braved the weather and did a little climbing and running. On the way to the coffee shop to warm up Lincoln said, "I love trains, pancakes and playgrounds!" It was a great morning outing even with the unpleasant weather. We just cannot wait around for nice days!
